President and CEO
Terry is the president and CEO for Harris & Ruth Painting, and he has over 50 years of experience in the painting and wallcovering industry. Terry is a self-made professional, working his way from the role of a painter to field superintendent, estimating, sales, and eventually to president and owner of Harris & Ruth. In 2004, Terry had the vision of transitioning Harris & Ruth from a sole proprietorship to a 100% ESOP company (employee stock ownership plan) ensuring the future of the company and its employees. Terry is responsible for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of the company as well as daily operations. He also provides detailed cost estimates to his customers and manages awarded projects from start to finish. We are happy to have him on the team.

CFO and COO
Mark is the chief financial officer and chief operating officer for Harris & Ruth Painting, and he has over 31 years of experience in the construction industry, ranging from general contracting to the painting and wallcovering industry. He provides the leadership and management necessary to ensure that our company has the proper operational controls and administrative and reporting procedures, and he is also responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating our overall corporate strategy. He also provides detailed cost estimates to his customers and manages awarded projects from start to finish. Mark was instrumental in transitioning Harris & Ruth from a sole proprietorship to a 100% ESOP company (employee stock ownership plan). We are happy to have him on the team.

Vice President of Sales
Bruce Boyer is vice president of sales and is also a member of the Board of Directors for Harris & Ruth Painting. Bruce first started with Harris & Ruth back in 1974 as a shop attendant while attending high school and Cal Poly Pomona University. In 1978, he joined the LA Painters Union and started 4 years of training as a union painting apprentice. After finishing his apprenticeship, he went on to become a journeyman painter and foreman for Harris & Ruth, which he continued for many years. In 1997, Bruce left Harris & Ruth to be superintendent for another company.
In 2005, Bruce returned to Harris & Ruth to take the position of executive superintendent and vice president of field operations. In 2014, Bruce was promoted to vice president of sales and then became a member of the Board of Directors for Harris & Ruth, and he currently holds these positions. Bruce is married to Kathleen Boyer, Harris & Ruth office administrator, and has 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Bruce enjoys golf, sports, and travel.

Project Manager, Business Development
Dan is a project manager for Harris & Ruth Painting, and he has over 24 years of experience in the painting industry, ranging from residential to commercial applications. He provides detailed cost estimates to his customers and manages awarded projects from start to finish. Dan is also involved in Harris & Ruth's business development, and he is a member of several organizations, such as PDCA, BOMA, and IREM.
Dan is married and enjoys spending his free time with his 3 daughters, writing music, and taking off-road trips on his motorcycle.

Javier Lopez is the superintendent at Harris & Ruth Painting. He has been with the company for over 11 years, starting as a level-3 apprentice in April of 2004. Soon after, he climbed up the ladder and became a lead foreman, working on various large and essential projects. In June of 2014, he became our superintendent. Javier has demonstrated leadership skills, dedication, and commitment since he started at our company. He is well trained and holds various certifications in the construction industry, including OSHA 30-hour, CPR training, lead awareness, high-reach lift training, and scaffold training certificates. Javier is a husband and father of 3 who currently resides in Covina, CA.
Kathleen Boyer is our office administrator. Prior to joining our staff, she worked for over 20 years first as a legal secretary, then as a law office administrator in law firms in Los Angeles County. She received her B.A. degree from California State University Fullerton, and thereafter has taken Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer training, as well as Adobe software courses to make better use of technology in the workplace. Kathleen is responsible for processing payroll, accounts payable, and employee benefits. Also, in cooperation with our safety manager (superintendent Javier Lopez), she works to keep up with the safety program documentation and implementation—a constantly-moving target. Kathleen is married to Bruce Boyer, who is vice president of sales and project manager at Harris & Ruth Painting. Together, they have five adult children and two beautiful grandchildren.
Chanel is a project administrator for Harris & Ruth Painting. She came to us with 17 years of experience as project administrator and senior project coordinator for two general contracting firms. She works with our project managers and assists them with contract processing, change orders, billing, and placing material orders. In her free, time she enjoys spending time with her 4 boys and is very involved with their sports activities. She is a valued employee and an asset to our team.
